125th Anniversary Celebration

Duboce Park turned 125 this year! To celebrate the occasion, Friends of Duboce Park hosted a celebration in the park on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 11 AM to 4 PM.

Special guests included Supervisor Rafael Mandelman and Park and Rec General Manager Phil Ginsburg. Rafael, our gardener Mark Lujon, FDP president Helene Kocher, and board member Mark Scheuer participated in planting a new sycamore tree in honor of our 125th Anniversary. We also purchased two additional sycamore trees that will be planted in the park at our next volunteer day this Saturday, October 4.

Thank you to our Volunteers

A special thanks to the 60 neighbors who volunteered at Friends of Duboce Park’s 125th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, September 13. You made a huge difference and we could not have done it without you.

Thank you to our Sponsors

Another special thanks to PG&E for their generous support of this event and to our neighbors, who also contributed to making it possible.

Finally, thank you to our Pierce Street neighbors who provided electricity for the SCRAP arts and craft tables and for the live music. And to our neighbors who provided their driveways to the many vendors who participated.

See you at our 150th Anniversary Celebration in 2050!
